Support Habitat's Efforts to Improve the Living Conditions of
Orphanages in the Greater Tokyo Region

Home Run 2021 is a week-long virtual and in-person running event to raise funds for orphanage repairs in the greater Tokyo area. From Monday, April 12 through Sunday, April 18, participants can run or walk wherever and whenever they like. On Sunday, April 18, the last day of the event, there will be an in-person run at the Imperial Palace. Join us in any way you can to make a difference in a child’s life.

Virtual Run – Monday, April 12 through Sunday, April 18

Run or walk anytime, anywhere and share your performance with others.

In-Person Run - Imperial Palace on April 18, 2021

Registration begins at 12:30 pm.
Run begins at 13:00 and ends at approximately 15:00

Join our in-person event and run together!
Shingo Inoue, the Habitat Home Run Ambassador, Marathon Coach, and 24 Hour Run World Champion will be your host. You can choose to run or walk 5 or 10 km while Habitat youth volunteers cheer you on.

Sponsoring a Participant

Home Run 2021 Special Ambassador
Shingo Inoue, Marathon Coach, and 24 Hour Run World Champion


Shingo Inoue is a Japanese marathon and ultramarathon runner. He won the IAU 24 Hour Run World Championship held in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France in 2010 with a distance of 273.708 km (170.074 mi). He is currently a Marathon Coach. Mr. Inoue has been dedicated to supporting orphanages for more than ten years.

Mr. Inoue will hold a special online training session on ZOOM on Sunday April 11, from 9:00 am - 9:45 am to kick off the event. He will provide running tips as well as advice on how to make running a regular part of your routine. This lesson will be available to all registered participants. Please sign up from here.
