Donate to Help Japan Rebuild!

Firstvolunteerteam_20110518_(1).jpgHabitat has started to recruit disaster response volunteers.
The disaster response volunteers are to be involved in clean-ups of the debris and mud, demolition, and organizing the evacuees' belongings. The detailed information on recruitment can be found HERE.
At this stage, we are recruiting only Japanese nationals or non-Japanese nationals who can fluently communicate in Japanese. Also note that we request all volunteers to be currently resided in Japan. We appreciate all those who are interested to join us but do not meet the above mentioned requirements; please stay tuned to our web site and e-magazines for further announcement on volunteer recruitment.

Habitat is planning to continue with the clean-up work but also to expand to the simple house repairs and distribution of Home Starter Kits, which consist of items needed for populating homes and communities. Our aim is to apply the knowledge on disaster response work passed down from Habitat for Humanity International, and to provide support that is culturally appropriate and sensitive to the local traditions. Your continuous contributions are highly appreciated.
