HabiBito_20110224.jpgHabitat Japan's cafe event TWP hosted a meeting on February 22nd. Contrasting the winter cold, the participants made it at home and had a cozy evening with Habitat. The main theme of the night was "Habitat Around the World."
We started the night with stories by Habitat.
Since the organization was founded in 1976, Habitat has spread its reach in more than 100 countries supporting more than 2000000 people in a short history over 34 years.
Then we looked into the variety of Habitat houses in Asia Pacific countries.
We build houses according to the local climate, culture, tradition and customs. As all models are deeply rooted in locality, we reviewed the differences and similarities amongst them. Some participants were happy to find similar style of houses as the one they have build on their own Global Village trips.
The next meeting is scheduled for mid-April.
