Safeguarding Policy

Habitat Japan established a new Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy (referred to hereafter as "Safeguarding Policy" in July 2025, serving as a guideline for action to prevent and respond to physical or sexual abuse, exploitation, harassment, bullying, and other potential harm to communities we work with, especially in regard to vulnerable adults and children. This Safeguarding Policy clarifies the responsibilities and obligations of all Habitat Japan stakeholders, including staff, interns, volunteers, and third parties such as visitors, contractors, partners, and their affiliates.

Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct

Habitat Japan always strives to create programs where everyone may participate safely and with peace of mind. In doing so in line with our Safeguarding Policy, it is important that all individuals involved with Habitat Japan become familiar with our code of conduct.  We ask for your cooperation so that the actions of all individuals and organizations help create a safe environment for everyone.
