Help Build a Multi-Purpose Room at the Bott Memorial Home in Machida, Tokyo

Established in 1957, the Bott Memorial children’s home provides a safe living space for children who are unable to live with their families due to domestic violence, financial difficulties, parents’ illness, or improper foster care.

Habitat Japan is working on building a multi-purpose room for the children to use for woodwork, arts and crafts, and other skill development classes. The room will also be used for various events and activities where the public can be invited.

The project aims to give the children more opportunities for interaction while also developing their creativity and expanding their interests and skillset for a bright future.

Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief

In response to the massive quake that struck the Peninsula on January 1st, we launched disaster response and stationed staff in the Monzen-machi District of Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Monzen-machi is a particularly aged, underpopulated, and thus vulnerable community.

Having finished our initial emergency response to support and secure the homes of evacuees, we are continuing initiatives to clean up damaged homes, provide housing consultations, and improve living spaces with furniture build with the help of volunteers, architects, and other organizations.

Your financial support enables us to help those struck by disaster return to safe and decent lives as soon as possible. Please join Habitat Japan in our continued relief efforts.
