I want to wish you a Happy New Year, and to thank you very much for your kind support and contributions to Habitat for Humanity Japan over the past year.
In the year of 2006, we sent 30 teams (531 volunteers) overseas through the Global Village Program. We also improved the Homepage, aiming to enhance the communication with supporters like you and to provide various opportunities to get involved.
We have just launched the House Supporter Project to support housing projects in countries like Bangladesh, the Philippines and Indonesia. Your support for this project will be highly welcomed as well.
Habitat is building 1 house in every 24 minutes around the world, but it is not fast enough and many people who desire to escape poverty and move into adequate housing are still not able to. Your continued support this year will be most appreciated.
