Everyone in Japan, Sawadee Ka!
Now I am writing this in Bangkok, Thailand.
It has been three weeks since I started this intership at Habtiat for Hunanity (Thailand), my challenges and the real work here had just started.

Here at Habitat for Humanity's national office, we have about 30 staff working to eliminate the poverty housing in Thailand. Just as they call it a "land of smile" I was surorunded by a lot of smiles everyday. Several of them had hosted Japanese GV teams and often tells me "all Japanese teams were good teams and I had great memories about them." I am treated so well and kindly welcomed here and I feel that it is thanks to the good relationships HFH Japan and the volunteers had build over the past years.
I am a "Japanese CSR Officer" here and responsible for PR and fundraise with Japanese companies and communities. I will be making PR materials in Japanese, actually visiting companies for presentations and hosting coordination for the Japanese GV teams. However, I have quite important responsibility for a student intern and I have some worries for how much I can do.
Everytime I feel pressured, I ask my self "what is there waiting for me after this work and worries?"
That is, the result of Habitat's work to provide people in need the chance to self-help.
That is, the way to reach my dream career in peace building and international development industry.
Then that also is, learning to contributie for the easier operation and understanding on philantropic activitists in Japanese society.

I see how everything is conected this way and I am not left alone here. Some things might be tough on my but they must have the end where I can reach if I tried working hard at it. Next month I will start approaching the Japanese companies so that I am studying as much about Habitat Thailand and the communities they are working with.
I am scheduled to stay here till September and reporting the news and activities regulary. See you soon!
