\nHabitat Japan is working at several temporary shelter complexes in Higashimatsushima, Miyagi Prefecture and Ono Park Complex is one of them. 20 families are living in that small complex and there is a common room that is used as a gathering spot for the residents. They often hold parties and events there but that room has been also used as storage due to the lack of communal storage space.
\n\u3000
\n\"Tohoku_Miyagi_OnoTemp_20121001<\/a>Higashimatsushima Disaster Recovery Council<\/a> offered Habitat Japan building a communal storage at Ono Complex this summer and Habitat started building on September 20. Habitat Japan volunteers also joined building storage, and a team from Standard Chartered Bank<\/a>, Habitat's worldwide supporter, also worked with the residents of Ono Complex.
\nThis fall, Habitat Japan is going to paint on the walls of storage with children living at the complex and in the neighborhood.
\nHabitat Japan is continuously working with the affected families by providing help and supporting to their urgent needs.
