\n\"higashimatsushima_0510.jpg\"<\/a>The rehabilitation of the Kameoka Community Center in Nobiru district, Higashimatsushima city goes on. After removing the floor boards and walls, the structure was cleaned and windows were installed by skilled volunteers and Habitat staff. The community center is getting back to its original state step by step.

\nMany people including some of the local residents living in the temporary shelters come to watch the rehabilitation. One of the locals said \"I live in a temporary shelter now, but I want to come back to my place one day. I'm looking forward to the day when the community center is ready and everyone can gather again. \"
\n\u3000
\nOne of the volunteers said \"I wish to visit here again when the community center is fully restored and want to communicate with the local people to be involved further in the process of rebuilding this community.\"
\n\u3000
\nFurther rehabilitation of floors and walls, building of wooden decks and the installation of water and electricity systems will be the coming steps of this program.Habitat Japan is continuously working with the affected families by providing help and supporting to their urgent needs.
