They are to be distributed within and neighboring cities like Rikuzentakata city to aid in better sanitation for the disaster victims as needed.<br \/>\nOfunato city currently operates 57 evacuation centers hosting approximately 6,521 people in total, according to the local government officials. 3,629 houses are completely or partially damaged. A month has passed since the disaster, but the citizens are stil left to uncomfortable lives in evacuation centers.
