Together, we have created Japan Hope Builders and now you can join teams traveling to Thailand this summer!<br \/>\n<strong>===CHECK POINTS===<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2606 You don't only \"visit\" but actually get to \"join\" the projects.<br \/>\n\u2606 Volunteers and the local homeowners-to-be work together side by side.<br \/>\n\u2606 Visit the local schools and orphanage to meet the children.<br \/>\n\u2606 Make friends with fellow volunteers from all over Japan.<br \/>\n\u2606 Learn the culture through meeting the locals, cultural activities and sight seeing.<br \/>\n<strong>Trip Dates<\/strong><br \/>\nJapan Hope Builders 1: Feburary 23rd - March 2nd, 2010 (8 days)<br \/>\nJapan Hope Builders 2: March 9th - 16th, 2010 (8 days)<br \/>\n* Both teams join construction for approximately 5 days.<br \/>\n<strong>Destination<\/strong><br \/>\nBangkok, Thailand<br \/>\n<strong>Participation Fee<\/strong><br \/>\nJPY 189,000<br \/>\n<strong>Disclaimer<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Airlines used (TBD): Singapore Airlines, Thai Airlines, Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airlines<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Hotels used (TBD): Bangkok Chada Hotel, HI Sukunvit, Suk 11 Hostel<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Costs included in the fee: air fare (round trip), transportations and sightseeing fees mentioned on the itinerary, accommodation (2-3 person\/room), local staff fee, a tour conductor fee, meals (6 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 2 dinners).<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Oil surcharge (approximately 6,000 to 6,200 yen as of October 1st, 2009) will be added to the above mentioned participation fee.<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Airport taxes are not included in the participation fee above.<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Above mentioned participation fee is only for students participants who are 25 year old or younger. Please provide student identification at application. Additional 5,000 yen will be added for other participants.<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Individual room rate: 18,000 yen per trip<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Minimum team size: 8<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000All members of both teams with a Japanese tour conductor leave and arrive at Tokyo.<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000An agent from STA Travel and staff from Habitat Japan will tag along.<br \/>\n\u25a0\u3000Planned by STA Travel<br \/>\n<strong>Orientation<\/strong><br \/>\nGlobe-Trotter (Chikyu no arukikata)'s orientation for the international volunteers is a great chance to clear all your wonders about applying for the trips. Though it is not mandate to be present at this orientation, it is highly recommended for all volunteers planning to apply to join.
