They also planted flower seeds in the beds near the \u201cForest Stage,\u201d which had been created during the project\u2019s second phase.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the experience, participants shared comments such as, \u201cI painted while imagining the children playing on the equipment,\u201d and \u201cIt makes me happy to think about how the seeds we planted today will grow and bring joy to the children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><div class=\"c-photo\">\n<ul class=\"c-photo-body c-photo-body--row3\">\n<li class=\"c-photo-item\">\n<p class=\"c-photo-item__img\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/habitatjp.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260419-11-1-468x336.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"c-photo-item\">\n<p class=\"c-photo-item__img\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/habitatjp.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260419-16-468x336.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"c-photo-item\">\n<p class=\"c-photo-item__img\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/habitatjp.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260419-31-468x336.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The day also included opportunities for volunteers to deepen their understanding of children\u2019s homes. All volunteers watched a video introducing the daily lives of children at Kodomo no Sono, listened to staff members explain the social challenges the children face, and joined a tour of the facility. It was a very meaningful experience, as employees who don\u2019t usually have the opportunity to interact were able to come together and contribute.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cPlayground Project\u201d at Kodomo no Sono is now approaching completion, made possible by the dedication of many volunteers who care deeply about the children.
