The youth are the leaders today. In recognition of their capabilities, Habitat for Humanity Japan engages their support through the Youth Program to work with families in need of decent homes.<\/p>\n

\"\"Responding disaster<\/h3>\n

The Asia-Pacific region is the area most affected by natural disasters. The 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan not only killed more than 19,000\u00a0but also affected the economy. In our response to the Kumamoto earthquake in 2016, Habitat Japan mobilized about 100 campus chapter members across Japan to support affected families through assisting\u00a0the operations at the disaster volunteer center.<\/p>\n
