GV cancellation policy<\/h1>\n

Habitat for Humanity Japan (Habitat Japan)'s policy for Global Village program cancellation fees are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Cancelling a GV team<\/span> due to personal circumstances<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

a. Cancellation 45-31 days prior to departure:
\u00a510,000 cancellation fee per person (not including \u00a5150,000 team reservation fee)<\/p>\n

b. Cancellation within 30 days of departure:
Habitat<\/span> Japan cannot refund any cost other than the insurance fee.<\/p>\n

c. Cancellation made after departure:
Habitat Japan cannot refund any cost, including\u00a0 the insurance fee<\/p>\n

Regardless of timing, Habitat Japan can NOT refund the \u00a5150,000 team reservation fee.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the case of changing a destination country, Habitat Japan cannot refund the initial fee of\u00a0 \u00a5150,000. If you choose to work in another country after making a reservation, you must pay another reservation fee of \u00a5150,000<\/span><\/p>\n

2. If an individual volunteer must cancel GV due to its own reason\u2026<\/span><\/h2>\n

a. Cancellation 45-31 days prior to departure:

Habitat Japan cannot refund any cost other than insurance fee and emergency fund.<\/p>\n

c. Cancellation made after departure:
Habitat Japan cannot refund any cost including insurance fee and emergency fund.<\/p>\n

3\uff0eIn case of force majeure<\/span><\/h2>\n

In case the GV program in the hosting location becomes difficult due to unavoidable problems or accidents (instability\/insecurity, natural disaster, or calls for evacuation due to such situations), Habitat for Humanity will ask teams to choose one of the following options:<\/p>\n

<Before Departure>
a. Change in trip destination (incl. another country) with the same trip date
b. Change in trip date to the same location
c. Cancellation of the trip in its entirety
\u30fbAll fees including the \u00a5 150,000 reservation fee will be refunded.<\/p>\n

<After Departure>
d. Change in location within the same country with the same trip date
e. Program suspension
\u30fbReservation and participation fees for each day after suspension will be refunded on a per diem basis.
\u30fbInsurance fees for the days after suspension will be refunded on a per diem basis.<\/p>\n

4. If HABITAT FOR HUMANITY needs to cancel\u2026<\/h2>\n

In case it becomes difficult to work in a planned hosting location mainly due to Habitat for Humanity\u2019s circumstances, Habitat for Humanity will ask the team to choose one of the following options:<\/p>\n

<Before Departure>
a. Change in trip destination (incl. another country) with the same trip date
b. Change in trip date to the same location
c. Cancellation of the trip in its entirety
\u30fbAll fees including the \u00a5 150,000 reservation fee will be refunded.<\/p>\n

<After Departure>
d. Change in location within the same country with the same trip date
e. Program suspension
\u30fbReservation and participation fees for each day after suspension will be refunded on a per diem basis.\u30fbInsurance fees for the days after suspension will be refunded on a per diem basis.

\u3010Important Notice\u3011
\uff0aPlease understand that Habitat for Humanity reserves the right to cancel GV in the event of difficult circumstances in a hosting country, and that Habitat for Humanity is not responsible for any damages loss of investment caused by a cancellation.
\uff0aThe date of the departure is based on the planned departure time from one's home.
\uff0aPlease refer to your travel company\/agent for terms and conditions regarding travel expense (air fare, accommodation fee, etc.) related to the program participation.
\uff0aHabitat Japan will utilize cancellation fees paid as detailed by this policy to fund housing support initiatives carried out by HFHJ.<\/p>\n
