Help Us Build Hope for Children in Japan and Cambodia
During the pandemic, Habitat Japan expanded its initiatives to serve those living in shelters for mothers and children and in orphanages. Many such facilities are in disrepair and lack government funding. Our facility repair program seeks to address this by providing necessary improvements, ensuring residents can live in a cleaner, safer, and more secure environment. This year's gala aims to raise funds to renovate the boy's dormitory in the Elizabeth Sanders Home orphanage in Kanagawa Prefecture. The building is the oldest in the facility and has suffered extensive damage over the years.
Habitat Japan has also long supported Cambodian villages in great need of better living conditions. Despite the crucial role safe water plays in our health, safe water access remains limited, even in suburban areas. To address this, Habitat Japan is raising funds to improve sanitation and hygiene facilities in selected primary schools. This includes building toilets and water facilities, providing hygiene education, and distributing hygiene kits to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We hope you will join our Charity Gala 2023 and help Habitat Japan to build strength, stability, and shelter for vulnerable children in Japan and Cambodia.
